It was reported to the police around 17:30 p.m. that a large number of high school graduates, as well as junior high school students who were celebrating the end of the school year, entered the artificial Sava Lake at Ada Tsiganlija, and the two younger boys did not get out of the water.

Police patrols, as well as the Diving Unit of the Gendarmerie, were immediately dispatched to the scene and began the search.

The Serbian Ministry of the Interior has once again appealed to children and parents not to enter the lake of Ada Ciganlija because they risk their lives by doing so.

"Please note that the bathing season is not open at Ada Tsiganlia and therefore there is no lifeguard on duty at this location," the police statement said.
