The Russians shelled a railway station in Ukraine: one person was killed and four were wounded
At least one person was killed and four were wounded as a result of Russian shelling of a train station in Kherson, southern Ukraine, where civilians were preparing to leave the city, Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko said, BTA reported.
- Kherson, this evening. About 140 civilians are waiting at the station for the evacuation train to leave. At this moment, the enemy starts massive shelling of the city, Klimenko said on Telegram.
One policeman was killed and two civilians and two policemen were wounded by shrapnel, he added.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that during the attack "there were many civilians there". All services (emergency and rescue) are already on site, he added.
The Ukrainian railway company Ukrzalizna reported to Telegram that the station and the train were damaged.
- The situation is under control and the station is ready to continue working, the company assures.
