Russia bans 963 Americans, including Biden, Blinken and CIA chief

Russia says it has barred 963 US citizens from entering the country, including President Joe Biden, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and CIA Director William Barnes.

The foreign ministry said in a statement that the move was in response to ongoing US sanctions against Russia and warned that "hostile actions" would continue to receive an "appropriate response", Russian media reported.

"Russia does not seek confrontation and is open to honest dialogue with mutual respect, separating the American people it respects from the US authorities who incite Russophobia and those who serve them," the ministry said.
