Robert Lewandowski, Lionel Messi and Mohamed Salah are the finalists for the award "The Best" which is awarded to the best football player of the year by the World Football Federation (FIFA).

The three players remained in competition for the award, after counting the votes of the selectors and captains of all national football teams as well as the journalistic jury.

The "Best" award has been given since 2016, and the best football player in 2020 was Robert Lewandowski, who beat Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi in the final selection.

Ronaldo twice won the award (2016 and 2017), and once Messi (2019) and Luka Modric (2018).
The winner will be announced on January 17.
