The news that a kidnapper is allegedly moving around the secondary music school in Skopje is false, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The Ministry of the Interior strongly denies the fake news that spread today on social networks in connection with an alleged kidnapper, who allegedly moved around the high school of music in Skopje. There is no report about such a person to the police, nor is there a report that a person has been kidnapped, the announcement reads.

The person who posted this fake news enlarged the post, the Ministry of the Interior added, pointing out that he publicly announced that it was fake news.

The purpose of spreading such lies is to cause panic, anxiety, a constant feeling of fear and insecurity among the citizens, and unfortunately, they are being spread more often recently. The person who posted this lie will be called to the police station and an appropriate complaint will be filed against him to the competent prosecutor's office. We appeal to the citizens not to fall for such lies, emphasized the Ministry.

They expressed their gratitude to the media that do not succumb to fake news and check the information in the competent institutions.
