Minister Petrovska part of the first Schumann Security and Defense Forum in Brussels
The Minister of Defense Slavjanka Petrovska will participate and address the first Schuman Security and Defense Forum in Brussels at the invitation of the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign and Security Policy, Josep Borel.
The Forum, as informed by the Ministry, will be attended by representatives from the 27 member states of the Union and 45 partner countries, including over 20 defense ministers, as well as representatives of international and regional organizations such as the United Nations, NATO, OSCE, The African Union, ASEAN, the Gulf Cooperation Council and the League of Arab States. Non-governmental organizations, think-tank organizations and representatives of the academic community will also participate.
The Schuman Forum is held under the motto "Stronger together in an unstable world", and is organized under the patronage of Borel. The purpose of this Forum, the Ministry emphasizes, is to strengthen cooperation between relevant global and regional actors in the field of security and defense and to be a forum where key security issues and ways of strengthening international peace and security will be discussed.
