Mickoski: VMRO-DPMNE will stop all official communications with the government
VMRO-DPMNE and the coalition will stop all official meetings with the government - said Hristijan Mickoski. According to him, the Executive Committee of the largest opposition party decided on this and indicated that this decision was made unanimously. Mickoski said that from now on he will no longer talk about anything related to the constitutional amendments, but the only thing he would sit at the table for is quick early parliamentary elections this fall.
"We have no communication with the government, this week we had a session of the Executive Committee of the party and we made a unanimous decision that as VMRO-DPMNE we are stopping all official communications on a bilateral level with representatives from the government. There is only one thing, and that is to sit down and agree on the elections, when the elections will be held, and how the elections will be held, in what way - with a technical government, without a technical government, or everything that is connected with the elections," Mickoski said. .
This comes after on June 7, the presidents of SDSM and VMRO-DPMNE, Dimitar Kovacevski and Hristijan Mickoski, at a leadership meeting, opened the door for constitutional changes, but said that they will consider the options of how to implement them.
