Macedonian kayaker Spasic in the fight for the Top 10 on the world ranking list

Macedonian downhill national team member Ljubomir Spasic in the past period from 02.07 to 04.07.2021 participated in three rounds of the World Cup in Banja Luka (Bosnia and Herzegovina).

150 competitors from 17 countries took part in the World Cups, while Ljubomir Spasic competed in two sprint competitions in the 600m and a classic in the 5km in the senior category.

In the first sprint competition held in the Canyon, Tijesno Spasic after the first ride placed 20th, while after the second ride he placed 16th out of 51 competitors.

In the second sprint competition held in the central city area of ​​Banja, Luka Spasic after the first performance placed 32nd, ie 33rd place after the second ride of 54 competitors. In the classic competition, Spasic finished 39th out of 51 competitors.

Spasic is currently in 35th place in the overall standings of the world rankings and remains in the fight for a place in the top 10 with the appearances of the remaining 3 rounds of the World Cup in France and the performance of the World Cup in Slovakia. More HERE

At the end of July, Ljubomir Spasic together with Aleksandar Zlatarov and Enis Nebiovski will play in the first round of the European Cup in Italy where Spasic will try to repeat the success of 2019 when he became the first winner of the European Cup in Macedonia.

In August, they will also participate in the European Championship for seniors in Spain, where in addition to the individual performance, they will also participate in team driving.
