The Clinical Hospital-Bitola grows into a serious medical center that offers top health services, and with the new technology we give a new quality of service, said Minister of Health Venko Filipce during his stay at the Bitola Medical Center where he promoted a nomomograph for breast cancer screening.

Filipce pointed out that this is a modern device with the best features that allows the diagnosis to be done very accurately and with accurate results.

- We received this device through the IPA project for cross-border cooperation and in addition to the mammogram, this project provides an opportunity to integrate information systems between the Clinical Hospital-Bitola, the hospital in Gevgelija and several health institutions in Greece. In this way we improve the relations and communication with the health institutions in Greece - said Filipce.

He stressed that the international project coincides with the projects in function of the primary health care reform where the emphasis is on prevention programs.

- With the reform we have implemented in primary health care, by increasing the capitation point to stimulate family doctors and implementing the new methodology of their functioning, we believe that in the period following the prevention programs will be significantly improved and we will have the opportunity to work on early detection. of many diseases, especially malignant diseases, because for many malignant diseases in men and women, early detection with modern therapy can mean complete cure. There are no more patients waiting for treatment for malignant diseases as it was until a year ago, and the new drugs completely cover their needs, there is first and second line therapy, and for that therapy, a good part of the patients were previously referred abroad. Said Filipce.

He announced that during the next month in the Clinical Hospital in Bitola the accelerator will be put into operation, the installation of which is in the final phase.

Regarding the salaries of the health workers, he said that in the next period they will jointly discuss the salary increase from the beginning of next year.

- In the next period, we will jointly discuss the salary increases from the beginning of next year and in accordance with our promise of 100.000 denars salary for a specialist doctor. Not only for the doctors in the Clinical Center, but for all specialists across the country and in all public health institutions and at all levels. But, I want to emphasize that we do not forget the general practitioners, nor the nurses because there will be a period in which we will discuss how the amount of money will be distributed, said Filipce.
