"This is a huge responsibility, but at the end of the day, we do it because we have a pure love of music. "If we manage to convey this feeling on stage and if the audience feels it - we are done."

Eurovision fans around the world are counting down to the most spectacular music event on the continent - the Eurovision Song Contest.

In strong competition from 40 countries, our representative this year Andrea Koevska will try to present herself in the best light and convey the emotion of her song "Circles" on the Eurovision stage.

She, along with her backing vocals Ana Petanovska и Renata Kralevska, will perform during the second semifinal on May 12, and the entire Macedonian public cheers and hopes that the girls will qualify for the final night of Eurovision, which will be held on May 14.

Just before leaving for Turin, where the representatives already had their first rehearsals, Andrea, Ana and Renata took time for "Free Press" and we had an interesting conversation.

Girls, first of all we would like to congratulate you on the given opportunity to represent us on the big Eurovision stage in Turin. How are the preparations going and what is the current atmosphere in the team?

Andrea: First of all, thank you from the bottom of my heart for the beautiful congratulations. Preparations have not stopped since we won the competition for the national election. But my team was not complete until my backing vocals, Renata and Ana, got involved. Then the atmosphere shone in full swing, every day we enjoy working on the song to make the whole performance complete, not only vocally but also visually.

Ana: The preparations are going quite fast and the atmosphere is irreplaceable, special with the team. I would say that we are quite confident and ready with the vocals and everything else, and the enthusiasm and beautiful energy is growing more and more as the main event approaches.

Renata: This period of preparation and rehearsals has become one of the most amazing experiences for us. A daily indicator of our daily coming together as if we were one. Literally, that's how we started to sound, and to the emotion with which we lead the song and give full primacy. There is a synergy between all of us, and we allow it to lead us into all present and future challenges.

Andrea, you have finished your Eurovision promo tour. So far, he has performed in Montenegro, Romania, Great Britain, Spain and at one of the most important events for the promotion of the representatives - "Israel Calling" in Israel. What are your impressions?

- Honestly, my impressions are indescribable. These are experiences that I will appreciate for the rest of my life. Not only did I manage to fight for myself in front of such an audience, but I was also encouraged to be myself in front of it.

You recently had a friendship with Tamara Todevska, our representative in 2019. Can he give you some advice that you plan to apply? And what is the best piece of advice you have received regarding the Eurovision story?

- Yes, I was honored that we managed to sit down and talk to Tamara about everything on this topic. He gave me tips that I will surely follow in the future. One of them, which resonated with me the most as a young performer, is that I should enjoy the whole process, because if I enjoy it, everyone else will. Yes, this is a huge responsibility and we know what our job is. But at the end of the day, we do this because we have a pure love of music. If we manage to convey this feeling on stage and if the audience feels it - we are done.

In addition to the great vocal performance, the stage performance is really important when it comes to Eurovision. Who will take care of the styling of Andrea, Renata and Ana, and who will design the choreography?

- Everything is important when it comes to the Eurovision stage, but nothing is crucial. Of course, we want to present ourselves in the best light and that is why I decided to work with Caci Pakovska when it comes to styling. Ever since we met I saw that there is a passion in her and I wanted to see what she can do with the man who I am and the whole idea of the event itself. Caci will also take care of the appearance of Renata and Ana. Biljana Pasharikovska is in charge of the choreography. Honestly, I can say that I have not been in safer hands when it comes to performing on stage. Without her I would not know how to enjoy the whole process, because she knows who I really am and constantly brings out the best in me. I enjoy every moment while we create and practice, because in the same process I get to know myself better and better.

Looking back over the years, what is your favorite Eurovision song that you still listen to today?

Andrea: It's definitely Lorin's "Euphoria"!

Renata: I join the same selection of songs with Andrea, when it comes to the Eurovision hits that have emerged. I also often hear the song "Dance You Off" by Benjamin Ingrosso, who represented Sweden a few years ago.

Ana: Honestly, I have a lot of favorites who have been on the Eurovision stage, but since I can not choose one, these are my top three that I listen to actively to this day: "Everything" by Anna Wissy from 2006, "Hard Rock Hallelujah" by "Lordi" "From 2006 and Lorin's" Euphoria "from 2012.

Besides "Circles", which song from this year's edition of Eurovision is your personal favorite?

Andrea: Those would be the songs of the Czech Republic and Australia! Besides the fact that they have really great songs, and because they are one of my closest friends that I teamed up with and we just found each other energetically.

Ana: This year, I was most impressed by the song of the Azerbaijanis among the few that left an impression on me.

Renata: This year there are really quality songs, so if I had to choose it it would be the host's song - Italy, titled "Brividi", as well as Azerbaijan's song - "Fade to Black".

Renata and Ana, do you see yourself as our representative at Eurovision in the future? And if so, how do you imagine your perfect song to present yourself?

Renata: I believe that every music performer has his own moment that will appear at the right time, with the song that will speak through it. If I was called to this task to be part of the Eurovision scene as a representative, I would certainly accept it. Being a music ambassador of your home country is a wonderful feeling that brings its responsibility, and at the same time immeasurable joy. This year I am grateful and happy to be part of Andrea's team, to feel the Eurovision stage in the role of backing vocalist, who is equally responsible.

Ana: Over time, such incredible opportunities as this one for Eurovision come, so maybe I will have a chance to be a representative and I would definitely use that opportunity, but I am very grateful to go with Andrea and Renata this year.

Finally, can you reveal to our readers an exclusive detail from your performance in Turin?

Andrea: We just would not like to reveal anything, we have almost a week until Eurovision, so we will leave the spectators to enjoy the moment and everyone to gain their impressions.
