Catering facilities in Greece that have been closed since the beginning of November last year, according to the competent Minister of Development Adonis Georgiadis, could start working again after Easter, before or together with the opening of tourism on May 14, MIA reports from Athens.

Georgiadis, in an interview with Greek Sky television, expressed optimism that "May will be the month of great return to normalcy."

He explained that if the pandemic goes smoothly, cafes, restaurants, taverns, etc., could start working after Easter, but only in the outer parts, because, as he pointed out, "it is best to combine tourism and hospitality."

- It would be ideal and we are trying and we are working on that, to open tourism with catering, said the Minister of Development of Greece and clarified that maybe the catering facilities would open shortly before tourism.

He revealed that they had asked the Commission of Epidemiologists to consider the possibility of opening shopping malls and malls on Monday, explaining that self-tests would be easier.

The process of gradual easing of measures in Greece, goes step by step, without specific deadlines for opening activities, and the only thing that has been posed and officially announced is that tourism opens on May 14.

The country has been in quarantine since November 7, 202O, with curfew and mandatory SMS messages for any movement of citizens, travel between cities is prohibited.
