Dejan Iliev was once Arsenal's goalkeeping hope, but his career later did not develop in the direction expected, and recently he is the new goalkeeper of FC Sarajevo from Bosnia where it came from Finnish Hellinski.

After arriving in Bosnia, Iliev answered questions from journalists, and interestingly, he had a great interest in the period he spent at Arsenal, even though it was a long time ago.

Iliev explained how things happened very quickly and suddenly from Macedonia he had the opportunity to work with a man like Arsene Wenger.

"Things happened very quickly. I was in Macedonia, and then in a day or two I found myself in London. I trained in the Academy, and then I was transferred to the first team. It was a shock to me. I was burning with the desire to prove myself and be even better because it is not easy to reach such an opportunity. At every training session, Wenger demanded that we be at the highest level and do our best. We had to pay attention to all the details," said Iliev.

Iliev was asked to choose the greatest goalkeeper he worked with, and he decided on the famous Petar Cech.

"At Arsenal I had the opportunity to learn from many good goalkeepers, it is difficult to choose. My idol since childhood was Petar Cech, I analyzed and followed him for a long time. When he came to the club, we got along well and talked. "It is about an intelligent person who wants to progress and learn," Iliev said.
