Our best national team suffered the second defeat in the qualification for the 2023 World Cup, although we were very good in the first 20 minutes, in the finish when it was most necessary to hold the result against Ukraine, the concentration dropped.

Macedonian coach Dragan Bajic was not satisfied with what was shown, especially in the second half in which the opponent reached a convincing victory, the first for them in these qualifications.

- Congratulations to Ukraine on the victory. I have to praise the guys for the first half when it comes. We had a short period of preparation for this match. We respected the things we agreed on for most of the match. We entered the duel with a slow rhythm. We did not allow Ukraine to play, we changed the defense, we had control of the game, we kept the jump under control, we had no mistakes.

But in the second part we ran out of energy. Maybe the hard road did its thing. So we lost concentration and everything we had built before collapsed. Focus and concentration ultimately decided the final result. Spain and Ukraine were quite difficult matches for us.

We have to go further, there are still matches to be played and in February I hope we will be complete. We are missing five players, that is a lot and it makes us a problem in the preparation of the matches - said Bajic.
