Angelce Petrusevski is the youngest IKAS winner in history

The young Macedonian kayaker Angelce Petrusevski is the biggest winner in the 51-year history of the traditional Ilinden kayak slalom (IKAS). At only 15 years old, Petrushevski triumphed in the K1 discipline at the prestigious race on the Treska River.

The kayaker of Vardar from Veles achieved a time of 102,16 seconds and was two seconds faster than the second-placed Milos Jevtic (104,61 seconds) from Serbia. Babuna kayaker from Veles Borce Mircevski finished third with a time of 104,74 seconds, while his teammate Hristijan Ignatov was fifth.

In the C1 discipline in the men's competition, Panayotis Zisekas from Greece triumphed, ahead of the kayakers from Serbia, Goran Jovanovic and Pavle Zdravkovic.

In the ladies, in K1, the best was the Serbian competitor Kristina Petrovi,, before Barte Zilikuaite from Lithuania.
