The Mayor of Strumica, Kosta Janevski together with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria, Ekaterina Zaharieva, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrej Zernovski and the Ambassador of Bulgaria to our country, Angel Angelov opened the multi-purpose social center in the municipality of Strumica.

The center, located in the former barracks in Strumica, was realized with financial assistance from the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria through the Bulgarian Embassy, ​​in the amount of BGN 270 thousand, and will be intended for independent action and implementation of program activities of social associations.

According to Minister Zaharieva, this is the largest project implemented by the Bulgarian government this year.

- The purpose of this project is the civil sector working in the field of social to have offices here, a place for training and a place where they can help citizens, said Minister Zaharieva.

He added that for this year the Bulgarian government is helping to implement projects in the Republic of Northern Macedonia with about one million leva.

Mayor Janevski expressed gratitude to the Government and the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria for the financial assistance for the realization of this project.

-The multi-purpose social center will be a space for independent action and realization of program activities and projects within the target groups, creating opportunities for easier and faster integration in society and social inclusion, creating opportunities for mutual networking and action of associations in the social sphere, as and organizations from other social spheres, said Mayor Janevski.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Andrej Zernovski, emphasized that such projects confirm that the fostering of good neighborly relations with the Republic of Bulgaria, as well as the intensification of the long-term cooperation in all areas, is of special interest.

- I wish this cooperation of ours to continue in this direction and to encourage a new spirit in the region. "We have proved a new reality in the Balkans, that two neighboring countries have overcome past divisions and created mutual relations of close friends," Zernovski said, according to the Foreign Ministry.

The guests from Bulgaria together with their hosts will attend the performance of Bulgarian and Macedonian music artists, within the concert tour "One Love Tour", which is held tonight in the City Park in Strumica.
