Today, police officers from Negotino came to the home address of the journalist Vicki Klincharova from "Focus" to hold an official conversation, i.e. to inform her about a complaint by the woman who hit an 8-year-old child with a car on ul. "Marshal Tito" in Negotino, announced "Focus".

Namely, the woman asked the police officers to warn the journalist because, according to her, Klincharova had published text with false content about the specific incident.

The Association of Journalists of Macedonia came out with its own reaction, calling this action of the Ministry of the Interior – inappropriate, inappropriate and unnecessary.

"ZNM considers that the procedure of the Ministry of the Interior to warn journalists because of a published text is inappropriate, inappropriate and unnecessary, because in this way pressure is exerted on the freedom of expression of journalists. We demand responsibility from the police officers who abused their powers to answer for them, that is, to initiate disciplinary proceedings against them.

ZNM will submit a complaint to the Department for Internal Control and Professional Standards at the Ministry of the Interior, which will demand responsibility for the violation of police powers. We expect that the responsible persons will be sanctioned in the shortest possible time", it is stated in their announcement to the public.
