Zheleznici Transport of RSM AD Skopje got electricity again at noon, after in the morning EVN disconnected from the network the facilities of the state railway company at the depot in Skopje Lisice and in Veles due to debt for unpaid bills.

The information that there is electricity again was confirmed by ŽRSM Transport, from where they say that the interruption of the electricity supply did not affect the running of the railway, although there was such a danger considering that they need electricity for the oil pumps.

The Vice Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Fatmir Bitici, previously announced in a statement to the media that the Railways will have electricity and reiterated that the debt to EVN for the unpaid bills of certain state institutions will be settled as soon as the announced appropriation of funds from the Budget passes in the Parliament.

According to him, no other guarantee is needed that this will be fulfilled, because Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski and other members of the Government have already announced it.

I believe that already at this moment in "Zeleznici Transport" there is electricity. The government is neither a contractual nor a binding party to EVN and if EVN does not realize that the government is not here a party that gives guarantees, then EVN really has a problem with interpreting their functioning in our country. The Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Finance said that debts to EVN will be paid and that is quite enough for any economic operator to understand that it is the Government and the State and that no other guarantees are needed, Deputy Prime Minister Bitici said in response to a journalist's question why so far, the government has not sent a guarantee to EVN that it will settle the debt, after the electricity in "Zheleznici Transport" was turned off this morning.

EVN has given several institutions until the 15th of this month to pay the debt for consumed electricity, including the Clinical Center and "ŽRSM Transport" and others.
