A magnitude 5,6 earthquake struck El Salvador
An earthquake measuring 5,6 on the Richter scale hit El Salvador yesterday.
The authorities of El Salvador announced that they activated emergency protocols due to the earthquake, which was also felt in Tegucigalpa, the capital of neighboring Honduras, as well as in the eastern part of Nicaragua, reports Reuters.
The EMCC, which subsequently corrected the initial 5,4-magnitude assessment, confirmed seven minutes after the first report of a 4,4-magnitude aftershock.
