The foreign ministers of the G7 countries "in the strongest terms" condemned the sending of Iranian ballistic missiles to Russia.

Iran must immediately and completely end its support for Russia's illegal and unjustified war against Ukraine and stop such transfers of ballistic missiles, drones and similar technologies, according to a joint statement by the foreign ministers of Canada, France , Germany and Italy. Japan, Great Britain and the United States.

According to the G7, the weapons with which Tehran supplies Moscow "represent a direct threat to the Ukrainian people, as well as to European and international security."

Earlier this week, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said Russia had received ballistic missiles from Iran and was likely to use them within weeks, and the US, Germany, Britain and France imposed new sanctions on Tehran.

Moscow and Tehran have rejected the Western allies' accusations.
