Zelensky on the conversation between Putin and Orban: Peace negotiations are not possible without Ukraine
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, commenting on the telephone conversation between Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and Russian President Vladimir Putin, noted that the talks about the war waged by Russia cannot take place without Ukraine.
"We all hope that Viktor Orbán will at least not invite (ousted Syrian President Bashar al) Assad to Moscow to listen to his hour-long lectures. It is absolutely clear that achieving real peace and guaranteed security requires American resolve, unity. of Europe and the determination of all partners to adhere to the goals and principles of the UN Charter," Zelensky wrote on the X platform.
According to him, "one should not play on one's image at the expense of unity – one should take care of joint success".
Zelenski added that unity in Europe always brings success.
"Talks about the war against Ukraine, which Russia is leading, cannot take place without Ukraine," Zelensky stressed.
He thanked the newly elected US President Donald Trump and the European leaders with whom Ukraine is working to find "real and strong solutions for a "just peace".
Today, Putin and Orban talked by phone about the situation in Ukraine and the Middle East, reports Tanjug.
