Zelensky speaks out after Putin-Trump conversation

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke for the first time tonight after today's phone call between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, after which the two sides announced that they had agreed on some aspects of the peace process in Ukraine. convey "ABC News".

Zelensky initially said he hoped Trump would brief him on the details of the talks. He said he was "skeptical" but still supported a proposal to halt Russian attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure for the next 30 days.

As Zelensky says, Ukraine "will support all ideas that lead to a stable and just peace, but an unconditional ceasefire would be a better step forward."

He reiterated that any future talks on Ukraine without Kiev at the table will not yield results.

Speaking about Russia's offer to release 23 seriously wounded Ukrainian soldiers, he said that releasing all prisoners would be the right way for Russia to show that it is serious about peace negotiations.
