Zelensky denies that Ukrainian forces are surrounded in Kursk

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukrainian forces are continuing operations in the Russian Kursk region and that they are not facing encirclement, although fighting in the region is intense, Sky News reported.

"The grouping of Russian forces clearly shows that Moscow continues to ignore diplomacy," Zelensky wrote on social media, adding that Ukraine remains ready to inform its partners about the situation on the front and along the border.

At the same time, the Ukrainian leader announced that his country had successfully tested a new missile with a range of 1.000 kilometers. "The Long Neptune missile was tested and successfully used in combat," Zelensky said, noting that this was a significant step for Ukrainian defense.

If this information is confirmed, Ukraine would gain the ability to hit targets much further than the current maximum range of the American ATACMS missiles of 300 kilometers, which could have a significant impact on the military situation, the British media reports.
