Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who arrived in Tirana last night, called Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama an "uncompromising friend of Ukraine" through a message on Platform "X".

In the announcement before the meeting with Rama, he states that they will discuss defense and political cooperation, support for the Peace Formula and security agreements and adds that "Albania is one of the countries that signed the G7 Vilnius Declaration, which we greatly appreciate."

"Today I work in Tirana. I will meet with Ukraine's staunch friend, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, and participate in the Ukraine-Southeast Europe summit. At the Ukraine-Southeast Europe summit, which is now being held for the second time, we will discuss our common path towards the Euro-Atlantic goal. I will propose supporting Ukraine's efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace, as well as organizing the Global Peace Summit in Switzerland. "I will have bilateral talks with the participants of the summit," writes Zelenski.

He points out that Albania is one of the countries that signed the G7 Vilnius Declaration, which his country highly values.

This morning, the Albanian Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs Igli Hassani and his Ukrainian colleague Dmytro Kuleba had a meeting.

Hasani expressed his support for Ukraine's sovereignty, adding that "Ukraine is a priority in Albania's work at all international forums." He announced the opening of an Albanian embassy in Kyiv during the year.

Kuleba thanked for the support so far, evaluating Albania as a very important partner.
