The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, said today that it is necessary to act jointly and decisively at the international level and asked for packages and weapons "and not just words".

- Every time Russia tries to destroy our lives, it is crucial that we respond collectively and decisively at the international level to reduce and block the potential for terror. Ukraine needs strength to achieve this. It is the only way to achieve a just peace and end the killing of our people. Long-range anti-aircraft capabilities, weapons packages and sanctions against the aggressor – these are actions that are required, not just words, Zelenski announced on X.

He recalled that during the night Russian forces attacked several Ukrainian cities with drones and missiles, including Odesa, Kharkiv and Kyiv regions.

At this moment, more than 20 victims are known in Kharkiv, including one child. Residential buildings and infrastructure were damaged. As a result of the attack in Odessa, there is damage to ordinary houses. One person died. Nine people were injured. Emergency and rescue operations in Zaporizhia continue to work after yesterday's attack in which eight people died and more than 40 people were injured, including four children, Zelenski said.

He added that in 12 regions during the night Ukrainian forces shot down 62 drones and four Kh-59/69 guided missiles.
