These are the preventive measures to prevent the spread of the flu, as recommended by the Commission on Infectious Diseases, and the Ministry of Health obliges public health institutions to respect them.
The measures are of utmost importance for the health of patients and healthcare workers, in line with current epidemiological data indicating a peak in seasonal influenza. The Commission for Infectious Diseases continues to monitor the epidemiological situation in the country, the Ministry of Health said in a statement.
As published on the website of the Institute of Public Health - Skopje, from February 2025 to 2.880, 5,1, XNUMX cases of group reports of influenza/influenza-like illnesses were reported in the country, which is XNUMX percent less compared to the previous week.
Of those reported, 1.552 are aged 15-64, 685 are children aged five to 14, 371 are children aged 0-4 and 272 are registered in people over the age of 65. The highest incidence is registered in children aged 0-4.
692 cases have been reported in Skopje, 333 in Strumica, 304 in Bitola, 158 in Sveti Nikole, 141 in Ohrid, 140 in Veles, 122 in Radovis, and 109 cases each in Kavadarci and Kumanovo.
