The sixth edition of "Golden Frame", a film review organized by the Society of Film Workers of Macedonia (DFRM), was held from June 18 to 20 at the "Frosina" cinema in the Youth Cultural Center in Skopje.

Traditionally, the "Golden Frame" was awarded the honorary awards of the DFRM for film actor, film author and film worker. The winners of the awards this year are the actor Tony Mihajlovski, the producer Vladimir Anastasov and the film worker Marina Koloska.

The event brought together about a hundred guests in one place - eminent representatives from the world of culture and cinematography, as well as fans and supporters of the Macedonian film industry.

The "Golden Frame" film review is an opportunity for the audience to watch Macedonian films that were made during the past year and were supported by the Film Agency for free.

- With the organization of "Golden Frame" we aim to promote Macedonian cinematography to a wider audience and I believe that this year we have succeeded in that as well. I am really glad that we have an increasing number of film screenings - said Tomi Salkovski, Secretary General of the DFRM.

This year's program included three feature-length, nine short-length and five documentaries, and the Annual Assembly of the DFRM, a forum, the social program "Focus" and of course, the ceremonial awarding of the honorary awards "Golden Frame" took place.

- Although the dedication and creativity of our filmmakers are visible through their impressive work, the Macedonian film industry requires adequate support and promotion from our institutions for real prosperity. The current state of Macedonian film highlights the alarming need for systematic action.

Manifestations like "Golden Frame" show the potential of Macedonian cinema, but without sustainable institutional support, our film industry cannot prosper. I appeal for increased support for Macedonian cinema, so that we do not end up in a situation where we have to resuscitate it and bring it back to life. Let's support her and encourage film talent in the country. I encourage all citizens by attending film screenings to respect our talented filmmakers and give recognition to Macedonian cinema - said Igor Ivanov - Izi, President of the Society of Film Workers of Macedonia.
