After a three-hour debate, the Central Presidency of Alternative ended the session behind closed doors, at which it was decided whether the party would join the Government and the parliamentary majority or remain in opposition.

The party announced that they will soon inform the public about the decisions.

In the meantime, the session of the Central Board of SDSM started with a two-hour delay. Previously, the Executive Board of the party met.

According to the announcements, the Central Committee and the EB should consider the resignation of the party president Zoran Zaev tonight, and discuss the current political situation and the consolidation of the parliamentary majority and the governing coalition.

The member of the Executive and Central Board of the party, Muhamed Zeqiri, said before the session that Zaev is expected to inform them about the talks with potential new coalition partners and to open a debate regarding his resignation.

SDSM Vice President Sanja Lukarevska said that they have several topics for discussion - the next steps of the party, around the parliamentary majority, the current political situation.

- We will discuss that at the Executive and the Central Board because these two sessions are exactly at his request, said Lukarevska about Zaev's resignation.
