Doctor Jovanov, a digestive surgeon from the city hospital, confirms to "Sloboden Pechat" that the operation that was performed today on Bojan Jovanovski.

– We performed a subtotal resection of the stomach. Tissues with precancerous conditions have been removed. It was a long and difficult operation, after which the patient is in a life-threatening condition, since we do not know how the postoperative course will take place. Jovanovski is not conscious and is not on the machine. Almost the entire stomach has been removed, maybe 10 percent, at most 15 percent of the stomach remains, said Dr. Jovanov, one of the surgeons who performed the intervention, for "Sloboden Pechat".

He added that patients with such operations must have a strict diet, eat 10 times a day with very small amounts of mixed food and be on constant therapy.
