Every second controlled hair salon and beauty salon in Serbia is closed
During this year, tax inspectors controlled the records of collection through fiscal cash registers in 99 hairdressing and beauty salons. The result is a temporary ban on the work of 54 salons, according to the announcement of the Tax Administration of Serbia.
"The tax administration continuously and intensively works to create an environment that encourages voluntary compliance, by undertaking and implementing a whole set of measures, which encourage those who do not comply with tax regulations to do so, and additionally motivate those who are regular in fulfilling their obligations". Inspectors of the Tax Administration, in accordance with the plans for operational control, thanks to the available tools of the new model of fiscalization and by applying risk analysis and targeted controls, continuously perform numerous controls of recording transactions through electronic fiscal devices," said the tax administration.
During this year, as stated in the announcement, a total of 99 checks were carried out on recording the turnover through electronic fiscal devices of taxpayers who are engaged in the business of hairdressing and beauty salons.
"Measures of temporary ban on the performance of activity were imposed in 54,42 cases, that is, with 54 taxpayers," state tax officials say.
Due to the high level of detected irregularities in those activities, the Tax Administration announces - strengthening of controls during the recording of transactions and in other activities, as stated "all with the aim of preventing tax irregularities and strengthening transparency and fairness in the tax system" .
The Tax Administration appeals to all taxpayers to comply with the applicable legal regulations and thereby avoid the sanctions prescribed by law.
