Subsidizing households for installed PVC or aluminum windows started in 2017 and continued with minor interruptions until last year. Part of the costs were reimbursed, in the amount of up to 50 percent of the costs incurred, but not more than 500 euros in denar equivalent per household. The right to the compensation was granted to people who had purchased and installed PVC or aluminum windows in their homes, the allocation was carried out on a "first come, first served" basis, until the funds were used up.
In recent years, a total of about 6.000 households have been subsidized, providing them with a refund of part of the funds they spent on purchased and installed PVC or aluminum windows, and approximately 140.000.000 denars have been paid from the State Budget.
