The celebration of the 60th anniversary of the existence of the Musical Youth of Macedonia began with a concert by the Chamber Ensemble "Nonet +" that took place last night at the Officers' Home in Bitola.

Young musicians Darko Grozdanovski, Pamela Velkova, Ivana Zdravkova, Tamara Ohomush, Verica Ajtovska, Kristina Stojanovska, Anesa Zayazi, Magdalena Drmach and Ivona Davidovska, under the direction of Angel Spiroski, performed with compositions by Tavener, Bieber, Perth and Holst.

– This event does not go back 60 years, where exactly in Bitola, young musicians founded a civic organization that will represent their ideas and open the stage for their realization. In these 60 years, the Musical Youth of Macedonia has about 10.000 organized events and concerts, with more than 1.500 artists as soloists and with over 8.000 participants and program animators in various ensembles that were followed by one million visitors. Today, the Musical Youth of Macedonia is a full member of the World Federation of Musical Youth, with developed forms of international cooperation and the opportunity for young Macedonian musicians to participate in about 200 international events, stated Darko Grozdanovski, a member of the Musical Youth of Macedonia.

With the "Nonet +" concert, the current activists of Musical Youth thanked the founders of the only national non-governmental organization that works with young musicians, as well as all those who worked tirelessly for its survival and for the continuous monitoring of cultural-artistic and musical trends. .

The musical youth of Macedonia will celebrate the jubilee throughout the year with "Youth Podium - Young Music Album", "Slobodna Sreda", "Skopje Builds Music", summer music camp "Ethno Macedonia" and concerts of the Chamber Orchestras "Sasha Nikolovski" - Gjumar" and "Nonet +".
