The West is responsible for the bloodshed in Ukraine, the head of Belarusian diplomacy said from New York
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Vladimir Makei, said that Western countries should bear responsibility for the blood shed in Ukraine, Anadolia agency reported.
Mackay addressed the 77th United Nations General Assembly in New York, where he noted that the main cause of the Russian-Ukrainian war dates back 30 years before the end of the Cold War.
Stating that there were no official agreements during the said period, but only a "gentlemen's agreement", Mackey claimed in his speech that this paved the way for the West to guarantee its dominance.
Makei referred to the principle of "indivisible security", which requires all members of the Alliance to act with the same feeling and react in the same way when a NATO member country perceives a threat.
- NATO and Western countries have ignored the legitimate security interests of Russia and Belarus in the search for their expansion to the east, said Mackay.
As reported by Anatolia, he stated that Western countries "should collectively bear responsibility for the blood shed in Ukraine".
- A large number of countries want to create a polycentric or multipolar world in which no one will impose their own vision, interests and values on others, explained Mackay.
According to him, Western countries have increased the prices of energy and food because of the economic sanctions imposed on Russia.
