The deputy mayor of Kherson is in custody, suspected of cooperation with Russia

The Ukrainian State Investigation Bureau announced that they detained the deputy mayor of Kherson on charges of cooperation with Russia.

The newspaper "Ukrainska Pravda" identified the arrested person as Vladimir Pepel. "The officers of the DIB in close cooperation with the prosecutors detained the deputy mayor of Kherson. He is accused of collaborationism", the bureau said on its Telegram profile.

The arrested person faces a prison sentence of up to 12 years if found guilty
