The best pilot in Ukraine, who was decorated for bravery just a few days before his death, died
Anton Listopad, who received the title of the best pilot of the Air Force of Ukraine in 2019, died in the war against Russia. He became involved in the defense of Ukraine in the first moments after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the military academy from which Listopad graduated announced via the social network Facebook
"Anton Listopad died in defense of the Ukrainian state. In 2019, Anton was named the best pilot of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Anton's path at the helm of a fighter plane was difficult, but significant. The young man stubbornly followed his dream – to become a pilot, fly high in the sky like a bird and observe the beauty of the Earth with an eagle's eye. On the day of the 30th anniversary of independence, millions of Ukrainians watched with admiration and pride the flight of the airship column of the military parade over Hreshchatyk Our Anton was the leader of this convoy," the message states.

The news about the death of Listipad was also published by the newspaper "Kyiv Independent". According to initial information, Anton died in the vehicular battles, but it is not stated where. Ukrainian President Zelensky awarded him the Order of Courage just a few days before pilot Anton Listopad died.
