The Prime Minister Zoran Zaev regarding the statement of President Stevo Pendarovski about the convicts for the events in the Parliament on April 27, 2017, said that this is not a new pardon, but that everyone has the right to request a new trial, if there is new evidence and arguments.

- I am in contact with the president and he says openly, at least he has shared it with me, that he has an attitude as in all other cases. Everyone has the right to open a procedure for retrial, if there is new evidence, new arguments, and the Judicial Council is competent to decide on it. If unprincipled things happen outside the values in which the vast majority of our people live and believe, then the system of punishment loses its meaning. So, of course no pardons, no amnesties in that part. The right, like all citizens, belongs to those who have been convicted for the events of April 27, if there is any new evidence, if there are new moments. Of course, like everyone else, they have that right. In fact, this is how the President of the country clarifies, said Zaev answering a journalist question after today's vaccination against the coronavirus.

A few days ago, President Pendarovski in an interview with Kanal 5 television opened the topic of the possibility of a retrial for the events of April 27 and the intrusion in the Parliament.

Asked by MIA whether the President is planning pardons in connection with the intrusion in the Parliament, Pendarovski's office clarified that he suggested that if anyone has new evidence, which could significantly affect the outcome of the procedure, it is necessary to use legally guaranteed extraordinary remedies. which could potentially lead to a resumption of proceedings.

- In order not to politicize the whole procedure, anyone who possesses new evidence should submit it to the court, and not give political qualifications to the event. As a legalist, President Pendarovski believes that this is the only legal way to resolve the doubts where they exist, say the Cabinet of the President for MIA.
