Prohibition on the use of hammocks for ski tours in the "Shar Planina" National Park

It is prohibited to organize tourist activities - ski tours with ratrak on the territory of the "Shar Planina" National Park.

This decision made by the director of the national park, Ibrahim Dehand is for the purpose of preventing the damage and destruction of biological and landscape diversity, soil degradation and loss of its fertility and damage to the habitats qualified in the Plan for the management of the Shar Mountain National Park.

Ratracs have been identified as one of the biggest potential threats to the protected area with the damage caused by machines in conditions of insufficient snow cover. The need for regulation of this activity was recorded in the several controls carried out on the ground where such activities are organized. The measure is established in order to ensure favorable conditions for the protection and promotion of nature until the moment of an agreement for the regulation of mutual rights and obligations between the performers of the activity and the UNP, it is stated in the decision signed by the director Dehari.

The decision refers to an indefinite period of time, with the exception of March 20 to 25 for terrains on the north side that had sufficient snow cover to end the ski season.
