'They're having fun': Shakira and Lewis Hamilton are in the early stages of their relationship
Shakira и Lewis Hamilton are getting closer it says "people". After a series of public appearances, the Colombian singer and the British Formula 1 driver are in the early stages of dating and, at the moment, their relationship is "fun and flirty".
"They spend time together and are now in the dating phase. It's fun for them," a source told People.
The news comes after Shakira attended the Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona on May 7, where Lewis Hamilton drove for the Mercedes team.
After the event, the singer and the driver were spotted together at dinner with a group of friends, including the singer Daniel Caesar and the poet Mustafa Ahmed. In the joint photo, which was posted on Instagram, Hamilton is sitting next to Shakira and you can tell that the two really enjoyed each other's company.
Also last month, the two were spotted hanging out with friends on a luxury yacht in Miami.
A day before the Spanish Formula 1 Grand Prix, Shakira was named Woman of the Year by the Latin edition of the music magazine Billboard. While accepting the award, she opened up about her split from her ex-partner, Gerard Pique.
"This was a year of seismic changes in my life, when I felt more than ever what it means to be a woman. It was the year I realized that we women are stronger than we think, braver than we believed, more independent than we were taught to be. Because what woman at some point in her life has not forgotten herself because she was looking for someone else's attention and love? That happened to me more than once," Shakira said on that occasion.
As a reminder, Shakira and Gerard Pique have been together since 2011, and lived together in Barcelona for eight years. They have two children - the ten-year-old Milan and the eight-year-old Sasha.
They shared the news of their separation in June last year, with an official announcement published by her agency.
"Unfortunately, we confirm that our paths are parting. For the sake of our children, who are our highest priority, we ask that you respect our privacy," their statement read.
It was later found out that Pique cheated on Shakira with Clara Chia Marty already in 2021 and that this is the main reason for their separation.
