Trump has unveiled a proposal that could end the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
He called on OPEC to lower oil prices, saying it would end Russia's war in Ukraine.
"The war will end immediately"
Trump turned to international oil prices, linking them directly to Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
Trump said he would ask Saudi Arabia and OPEC to lower oil prices, noting he was surprised they didn't do so before the election.
"They didn't show much love, they didn't do that. I was a little surprised by that. If the price drops, the war between Russia and Ukraine will end immediately," he said.
Right now, the price is high enough to continue the war. The price of oil must come down. "We can end the war," he added.
Trump also praised reports that Saudi Arabia would invest $600 billion in the United States. He said he would ask the kingdom to round this all up to $1 trillion.
