The handball players of Vardar last night lost to PPD Zagreb in the second leg quarterfinal match of the SEHA League with 25:22 and secured a place in the final tournament to be played in Zadar, but then Vardar experienced a shock, were expelled from the final four tournament due to a positive test. coronavirus in a handball player.
The coach of the "red and blacks", Veselin Vujovic says that the decision to expel Vardar from the final four tournament due to the positive test of Borko Ristovski is shameful.
In place of Vardar, the Executive Committee of the SEHA League decided to play in the final tournament the team that was eliminated by the "red and blacks", PPD Zagreb.
- What a shame. They say that only Borko is positive, while for seven players less than 14 days have passed since the second dose of vaccine, so they are critical. We wanted to repeat the test, but we were not allowed. We all have PCR tests, we wanted to do it again. I even wanted to play with 11 players who have a vaccination certificate, but they did not allow us to do that - says Veselin Vujovic in a statement for the Serbian "Journal".

- After the internal discussion, the Executive Board checked the documentation and recommendations and agreed that the health of the participants must not be endangered. Due to all that, it was decided that Vardar will be excluded from F4, and its place will be taken by PPD Zagreb because it played in the quarterfinals and was the best ranked team in the regular part of the season - announced the SEHA League.
