Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said today in Tirana that his proposals for rejecting the proposals for the introduction of sanctions against Russia have been accepted.

"They agreed to remove the section about sanctions and Russia's malign influence and remove the construction of 'our state' and 'our country.' We have been notified that it has been accepted. There are no sanctions, there is no mention of sanctions, there is no mention of the malign influence of Russia," said Vucic.

He did not want to reveal who insisted that the request for sanctions against Russia be included in the text of the declaration, adding only "the most powerful". He stated that Ukraine is one of the few countries that can talk about territorial integrity.

"It is not easy for Ukraine today, and we have nothing against Ukraine, they did not recognize Kosovo. I said that Ukraine is one of the few countries that can talk about territorial integrity. It is important for us to have good relations with Ukraine, Vucic said.

He added that Serbia, as before, within its capabilities, will continue to provide humanitarian aid to the vulnerable population of Ukraine. He also said that Serbia will remain committed to respecting international humanitarian law.
