Vucic will meet with Xi Jinping on May 8

Chinese President Xi Jinping is coming to Belgrade on May 8, Demostat reported citing sources from diplomatic circles, the MIA correspondent from Belgrade reported.

During his stay in Serbia, the President of China will meet with his Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vucic and other state officials, Demostat said.

Vucic said in February, at the Lunar New Year celebration ceremony, that he received confirmation that the Chinese president will visit Belgrade in 2024, assessing that Xi is a sincere friend of Serbia and one of the most important world leaders.

The two presidents last met in October last year in Beijing during the third Belt and Road Forum.

Xi was already in Serbia in June 2016, which was the first visit by a Chinese president to Belgrade in 32 years.

By the way, in mid-March, it was announced that Xi will meet French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris in May, and that visit will coincide with the celebration of the 60th anniversary of relations between the two countries. It will be the first visit of the president of China to Europe since the beginning of the corona virus pandemic.
