Vucic: I received a warning from the Russian security services about preparations for riots and a coup
The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, confirmed this evening that a warning was received from the Russian Federation about preparations for riots and a coup d'état in Serbia, the MIA correspondent from Belgrade reported.
-Today we received official information from the Russian Federation, information transmitted and brought through official channels. Yes, we received that information and are dealing with it. The BIA is responsible, the people specialized in this in the Government of Serbia and in all other places are doing their job, said the Serbian president, answering a journalist's question about whether he had received a warning from the Russian security services that mass riots were being prepared in Serbia with the aim of a coup d'état.
He also said that citizens should be carefree.
Those who dream that they will do something by force, said Vucic, will not, because Serbia is tirelessly moving forward.
- They can't stop her. And they will not stop her and no one will ever stop her. That is my message to everyone, people should not worry. Tomorrow they can calmly watch our basketball players (match at the Olympics) at home, he said.
To the highest representatives of the Serbian government, the special services of the Russian Federation through official channels gave information about the preparation of mass riots and an attempt at a coup d'état and the liquidation of President Aleksandar Vucic and the highest state officials, Serbian media reported earlier today.
