Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic is speaking from New York, Serbian media reports.

As reported, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said today in New York that intensive talks are being held with international representatives for Kosovo and Metohija due to recent events in the southern Serbian province, i.e. due to the new arrest of three Serbs.

"Due to the arrests of Elezovic, Milovic and Kostic, it is quite clear that after the threat that the Serbs would suffer and pay, Kurti launched one of the last operations in the wider action of ethnic cleansing of the Serbian people from Kosovo and Metohija," Vucic told reporters. "We are taking everything in our power and we want to use all diplomatic means and all political means," said Vucic.

He confirmed that he will request an urgent session of the UN Security Council.

"We are considering all possibilities, of course we will search, we will see what day the session will be." Even if they don't let us, someone has to explain it to us. It's obvious who's to blame here, it's clear to those who support Kurti's behavior, they can't hide behind it anymore. I also talked with Vucevic and Mojsilovic", said Vucic.

During his stay in New York, President Vucic will meet with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, President of the Swiss Confederation Alan Bercy, President of the Republic of Korea Jun Sokisol, President of the Republic of Suriname Chandrikapersad Santohi and Vice President of the European Commission Maros Sevcovic .

Aleksandar Vucic will address the participants of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly on Thursday, September 21, 2023.
