Armed attack on the Golf cartel in Mexico, at least 15 dead
At least 15 people have been killed in an armed attack by several vehicles in the northeastern Mexican border town of Reynosa.
Western media point out that criminal activity is led by the Golf cartel, which is shaken by an internal power struggle.
Local authorities confirmed that the attack started yesterday afternoon, in several places in the eastern part of Raynaud's, which borders the American city McAllen in Texas, stating that "There is panic among the citizens."
As a result of this attack, Mexican army units were deployed, The National Guard, the police and other security agencies.
Police seized three vehicles and arrested a man who was holding two women in the trunk of his car, who were apparently abducted.
The mayor of Reynolds, Ortiz Dominguez demanded that this armed attack be cleared up and that the protection of all citizens be ensured.
