LIVE: NASA launches the most expensive and essential telescope

The telescope James Webb NASA is due to launch today at 13 p.m.

If the plan goes according to plan, the 6350 kg instrument will be launched into space after 26 minutes of driving.

It will then take the telescope a month to reach its destination in solar orbit about a million miles from Earth, which is about four times farther from the Moon.

NASA has announced the launch of a live broadcast at 12 noon, and you can watch it in the video below.
