There is a lot of money in agriculture, so the basketball player Luka Doncic will also become a farmer?!
Basketball star Luka Doncic told the American magazine "Esquire" in April of this year:
"When I retire, I'm going to buy a farm," and added that he's already learning about farming and animal husbandry on a friend's farm!
We will see, but the fact is that the purchase of agricultural land and farms is seen by many as a business opportunity. According to the latest assessment of the magazine "Finance Manager", Doncic is 33rd on the list of the richest Slovenians, writes Politika. Before him on the list are those closely related to agriculture and food production. Some of them are the former spouses of Iza Sia Login and Samo Login, who each have 354 million euros. Both have invested in agriculture in the past, in Serbia.
In the magazine "Finance Manager" last year, Boštjan Bandlje was in fourth place on the list of the richest Slovenians, his property is estimated at 276 million. For 2,2 million euros, he bought a plot of 22 hectares in Zhitkovci in the municipality of Prekmurje in Dobrovnik, where greenhouses for growing vegetables are planned.
Franz Frelich, a successful entrepreneur from Schentrupert in Dolenjska, who is the owner of seventeen companies in the country and abroad, is also connected with agriculture. His property is estimated at 134 million euros, which ranks him in 16th place. Frelich is also the owner of four food companies (Dana, Gea, Vital Mestinje, HSK Zagreb). On the 81st place on the list of the richest Slovenians is the Polanić family, whose property is estimated at 43,3 million euros; in addition to construction, their business empire also includes the agricultural part.
