The Summit of Sports Journalists of Southeast Europe was held in Skopje
In the ceremonial hall in the Assembly of the Republic of S. Macedonia in Skopje held the annual Summit of Sports Journalists of Southeast Europe.
At the summit, several topics for discussion were covered, among which we would single out as more important the safety of sports competitions, the new law on sports, work with young categories, foreign experiences, etc.
The gathering began with a ceremonial awarding of the award for merit in sports Dicky Boyadzi. He presented the award The Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of S. Macedonia, Oliver Spasovski.
After this ceremony, The president of the Macedonian Olympic Committee, Daniel Dimevski awarded the high recognition of the IOC, "Golden Olympia" to the president of the Olympic Committee of Serbia (OCS), Bozidar Maljkovic for his contribution to the development of Olympism and sports. The IOC and the OCS have a long-standing close cooperation, which has been intensified in the run-up to the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games.
By the way, OKS President Bozidar Maljkovic entered the Spanish Basketball Hall of Fame last week. He has won four European Club Championship titles, twice been named European Coach of the Year (1988–89 and 1989–90 competitive season), twice named FIBA Basket European Coach of the Year (1993, 1996) and won to many other national and international awards. His daughter Marina Maljkovic is a Serbian professional basketball coach, and is currently the coach of the women's national team of Serbia.
