More than 50% of the population is counted in six districts in Bulgaria

 A total of 3.244.750 Bulgarian citizens registered themselves online or were registered by enumerators. The census was conducted in 1.652.935 homes, according to data from Bulgaria's National Statistics Institute.

According to the MIA correspondent from Sofia, more than 1.300.000 people were registered on paper in one week. Half of the population has already been enumerated in six districts of Bulgaria.

Most citizens are registered in Pernik 54 percent, followed by Sofia, Lovech, Ruse, Vratsa and Plovdiv. There are support centers in 12 municipalities in Bulgaria, which help citizens to register.

So far, 28,9 per cent of Bulgaria's population, or 1.997.476 people, have been registered electronically. The ranking is led by Sofia, where it has counted 48,8 per cent of the capital's population, Varna (36,5 per cent), Gabrovo (30,6 per cent), Ruse (30,2 per cent) and Burgas (28,9 per cent). ).
