Convicted in absentia, the three former directors of Magyar Telecom received eight years in prison each

The Basic Criminal Court Skopje today announced the first-instance verdict for the case with K. no. 817/11 from the prosecutor's office marked as "Magyar Telecom" v

The three defendants, Attila Sendrej, Rolf Platt and Zoltan Kisjuhas, were prosecuted for concluding fictitious contracts and today's verdict is for the crime of malpractice in the service. They were not available to law enforcement and were tried in absentia.

In addition to the prison sentences, the three directors of "Telecom" are obliged to compensate the damage to the state budget in the amount of almost 67,5 million denars (over a million euros).

The verdict is not final and the parties have the right to appeal to the Skopje Court of Appeal.
