The trial for the murders of Vanja and Pance continues in the Criminal Court.

The trial for the double murder of Vanja Gjorchevska and Pance Zhezovski is set to continue at the Basic Criminal Court in Skopje today. Witness Goce Trajkovski, who, together with Vanja's father, Aleksandar Gjorchevski, assisted in the search for her by obtaining video footage, was heard at the previous hearing.

Trajkovski was the last witness proposed by the Prosecution. He was supposed to testify at the beginning of the proceedings, when other witnesses were also heard, but due to health reasons this did not happen, and then he was not available to the law enforcement agencies due to another criminal offense. On January 23, 2025, he surrendered to the police and has been in custody since then.

Previously, the Prosecution presented video materials showing the movement of the vehicles in which Vanja was abducted.

Ljupčo Palevski, Bore Videvski, Velibor Manev and Vlatko Keshishov, as well as the girl's father, Aleksandar Gjorchevski, have been charged in the case, who have pleaded not guilty.

According to the indictment, they planned together to kidnap the 14-year-old girl in order to force a member of her immediate family to provide ransom money. Whereas, the abduction of the injured Panče Žežovski in Veles was with the intention of forcing him to give them his own "Citroen" vehicle in order to use it to abduct the child in Skopje.

Vanja, a minor, and Pance, from Veles, who were reported missing on November 27 and 24, were found dead near Skopje and Veles on December 3, 2023.
